From Modelling to Netflix, Ruby Rose Hit Fame

Ruby Rose was born on March 20th, 1986 in Melbourne, Australia. Her career in the public eye began when she won second place in an Australian modelling competition but found modelling was not what she wanted to do.

Ruby went on to DJ and VJ (Video Jockey) for MTV and found she loved hosting and being able to be herself instead of what photographers wanted her to be. She then hit the jackpot with her spot on Orange Is the New Black.

Ruby was cast in season 3 of Orange Is the New Black as protagonist "Piper Kerman's" new drool-inducing romantic interest, "Stella Carlin". Once the public got a taste of Ruby on Orange Is the New Black, they could not get enough of her.

She then became a popular action film star alongside Vin Diesel, Keanu Reeves, and Jason Statham in hits like XXX: Return of Xander Cage, John Wick: Chapter 2, and The Meg. In 2020, she was the first openly lesbian superhero on TV!

Ruby Rose proudly donned the Batwoman costume for the new CW series in the Arrowverse. However, she decided to quit her role in Batwoman ahead of the second season.
