Actress Lynn Cohen was born Lynn Harriette Kay on August 10, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri. She married her second husband, Ronald T. Cohen, in 1964. 

A veteran Broadway actress, Cohen made her first notable film appearance in Woody Allen's Manhattan Murder Mystery in 1993.

Lynn Cohen's best-known roles were as "Magda" in Sex and the City and as "Mags" in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Cohen portrayed "Magda," the nanny for "Miranda," on Sex and the City between 2000 and 2004. She reprised the role for the TV series' film sequels in 2008 and 2010.

Lynn Cohen's extensive acting career

The actress is also known for roles in the films MunichSynecdoche, New York, and Eagle Eye.

She made appearances on TV shows including "Nurse Jackie," "Master of None," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and "Chicago Med." 

She further performed voice acting roles for video games including Red Dead Redemption.

Cohen died at the age of 86 on Friday, February 14.
