In a new statement released to The Guardian, it would seem that Soulja Boy is in some hot water for allegations against him in regards to a past employee claiming he sexually assaulted her.
His former assistant is coming forward with her accounts of abuse and will be suing the rapper.
Soulja Boy getting sued for sexual assault
30-year-old Soulja, whose real name is DeAndre Way, is getting sued by a past employee for accounts of sexual assault.
The suit claims that the unnamed woman faced various different abuses at the hands of her former employee, including Way locking her in a room for three days and raping her repeatedly.
The suit also alleges there was physical and emotional abuse, as well as withholding her payments.
The woman's lawyer is claiming that she is "traumatized and filled with fear," and that she is seeking trial with a jury present.
In a statement, a representative for Way said that these allegations are false, stating, "He wouldn't beat a woman or put his hands on a woman … this is nonsense."
According to the lawsuit, the woman started working for Way in 2018, before the relationship turning romantic in January 2019. About a month later the abuse started happening and lasted until August 2020.
Way has been convicted previously in 2014 for concealing a firearm. In 2016, he was sent to prison for three months after violating probation.
