According to The Sun, during an onstage performance, Mel C told "Posh Spice"  to "f**k off." Then their manager told her she would get fired if she continued with that behaviour.

Mel C was diagnosed with depression

Mel C said that's when she realized she needed help. Then, according to The Guardian, she explained that her body "actually took over my mind. I went from being anorexic to having a binge eating disorder. That’s when I went to my GP and I was diagnosed with depression."

"It was such a weight lifted off my shoulders. It was such a relief because I thought, ‘Oh my God, there’s a name for it and I can be helped'," she added.

Mel C says that trying to be perfect made her ill

As The Guardian reports, "Sporty Spice" explained that trying to be a "perfect" Spice Girl was difficult: "I tried to make myself perfect. I ended up making myself really ill." She admitted that being the "boyish" member and the one who didn't really say much was hurtful, especially when "you are a young aspiring pop star."
