'That '70s Show': This Is "Leo" Today
That '70s Show had Tommy Chong play the major pothead "Leo"! And let's be real, he was our favorite hippie. Take a look at what That '70 Show alum Tommy Chong is up to today!
That 70's Show's Tommy Chong is 82 now! Born on May 24th, 1938 in Canada, Tommy Chong began his entertainment career in the 1960's. He joined a band which released an album, and even peaked at the 29th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. From there, he began bigger endeavors...
That '70s Show Tommy Chong: Life Before The Show
Tommy Chong had his own '70s show, in the sense that that decade was his year of stardom! He and his bestie, Cheech Marin recorded multiple comedy albums, one of which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
Throughout the '80s and '90s, Chong appeared in several movies and TV shows, including Still Smokin' (1983), FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), and McHale's Navy (1997).
It wasn't until 1999 when the character of "Leo" would be created in That '70s Show. He appeared throughout seasons 2 to 4, and then again in season 7. He disappeared in seasons 5 and 6 due to legal issues with marijuana leading to a jail sentence. However, the stoned-star is looking happier than ever today...
He and his wife Shelby have been married since 1975! The pair have four sons and a daughter together.
Chong has been pretty quiet in Hollywood, most likely due to his colorectal cancer diagnosis in 2015. However, he did appear in the 2019 comedy Jay and Silent Bob Reboot along with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The same year, he also appeared in the science-fiction film Color Out of Space.
We wish him the best with his health, and hope to see him in more films or a '70s Show reunion soon! Check out some of his most recent social media posts here:
