What The "Mowgli" Actor From The 'Jungle Book' Remake Looks Like Now
In 2016, young actor Neel Sethi was given the honour of portraying the feral child "Mowgli" in the live-action remake of The Jungle Book. Five years later, here's what Neel looks like now and what he's up to today.
He played the part that many youngsters have probably dreamed of: Neel Sethi, 17, played the lead role of "Mowgli" in the live-action remake of the Disney classic The Jungle Book in 2016.

During The Jungle Book, Sethi was just 12 years old, but he was still able to inspire millions of viewers. Director Jon Favreau, who had already directed blockbusters like Iron Man, was impressed and confident in Sethi when he cast him as "Mowgli" in the well-received film.
"Neel has tremendous talent and charisma. There is a lot riding on his little shoulders and I'm confident he can handle it," Favreau said. Since then, the "Mowgli" actor has grown into a young man with a bright future ahead of him.
Neel Sethi's outstanding performance in The Jungle Book
Neel Sethi proved that he could handle it when he reenacted the adventures of the famous feral child, "Mowgli," with tremendous authenticity. His acting helped propel the Jungle Book remake to becoming one of the most successful films of 2016.
For his performance, Sethi was nominated for a Kids' Choice Award, a Teen Choice Award, and a Young Artists Award. He also won a Young Entertainer Award for Best Leading Young Actor 12 & Under.
Prior to The Jungle Book, Sethi played his very first role in 2013 in the short film Diwali. Since his breakthrough role, he was also seen in the series The Last O.G., and he's due to appear next in the film Growing Up Gorman. We expect to hear plenty more about the talented actor in the near future.
