Harry Styles is returning to the big screen! The singer-songwriter could join the cast of Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid "Prince Eric", as Variety reports. Styles would be teaming up with Halle Bailey, who has already been confirmed for the role of "Ariel", a mermaid who falls in love with the human "Eric" and then strives to become human as well. "Ariel's" evil aunt Ursula will be played by Melissa McCarthy.
The Little Mermaid will feature new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda
The Little Mermaid will be directed by Rob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns) and will feature some old songs from the 1989 Disney classic as well as new songs from "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is also a producer on the movie.
