Many have heard the news, that The Wanted singer Tom Parker has a rare form of terminal brain cancer. This horrid news came as a shock to the young 32-year-old performer who was expecting his 2nd child.
Strictly Come Dancing Star Max George Announces Tom Parker's Big News
Another member of The Wanted, Max George has been competing on Strictly Come Dancing and announced the big news for his bandmate and close friend Tom Parker while in an interview. Alongside his dancing partner Dianne Buswell, Max George said during an interview on ITV's Lorraine that Tom's wife, Kelsey, "gave birth to their second child last week."
"He's a fighter Tom, Tom will be alright. If he's watching by the way, mwah, I love you all," George continued.
Tom Parker and his wife Kelsey have one other baby, Aurelia, who is almost 16 months old. Tom and his wife made a dual announcement via an interview with OK! to explain everything to fans. The "Glad You Came" singer commented on how they found out and that he is now doing "back to back chemotherapy and radiotherapy for six weeks." He is also trying to stay positive and hopeful for a better outcome.
Tom has been incredibly supportive of his bandmate Max being on Strictly Come Dancing and even joked, "Max has a lot to live up to." Their other bandmate Jay McGuiness had previously won the 13th season of Strictly so Tom said, "Jay was wicked, but Max can turn it on. I think he'll be surprisingly good."

The Wanted bandmates had a very difficult time processing the news about Tom, he said, "Obviously all the boys were as shocked as we were. They are gutted by the news, but they've been incredibly supportive. Jay has been round to see us a few times since we got the news and is reading up on everything he can and Max was here last week... They've been so positive, but when I spoke to Max he was in bits. We were in bits together."
Max is happy to be giving Tom something to be excited about as well, he said in the interview, "I spoke to him yesterday and he's doing good, he's doing great." He also posted to social media to root on his friend in the cancer battle, saying, "We are all on this journey together... and I can’t wait to get back on the stage with you and the boys and have a proper celebration when you’re better. You got this my man."
