Tila Tequila was born Nguyễn Thị Thiên Thanh on October 24th, 1981 to a Vietnamese family in Singapore. Her family fled during the Vietnam War and settled their roots there. When she was barely one-year-old her family moved to Houston, Texas. She quickly realized she wanted to be in the entertainment industry so at a young age she moved to California where she came to be known as... "Tila Tequila"!

Tila was scouted by a Playboy representative to do a nude photoshoot and her career quickly took off. She also attempted to join many rock bands before assembling her own band Beyond Betty Jean and Jealousy. Her music career was not successful but she did land a spot on the VH1 show Surviving Nugent where she and other contestants performed scandalous tricks and tasks for the legendary Ted Nugent.
After her time on VH1, she joined Myspace where her popularity grew tremendously, and became one of the most popular faces on the site. She then became regularly featured on reality shows like Pants-Off Dance-Off before she landed her own series, A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila. The series was unique as both men and women were competing for Tila's affection.
Her popularity grew and grew, even winning an award for "Best Celebrity Sex Tape"! Although she became more well-known, she began to be more and more self-destructive with her public image. Tila was cast on the hit show Celebrity Big Brother in 2015 but was immediately kicked out on day 1 after countless viewers complained about her anti-Semitic rants and her article titled "Why I Sympathize with Hitler".
Tila frequently has her social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook shut down for spewing anti-Semitic hate. She blamed her comments on depression and drug addiction but continued to make similar statements, and even dressed up herself and her infant child as the Nazi dictator.
She had her first child with musician Thomas Whitaker but the two had a falling out allegedly over Tila's disappointment in Thomas's financial situation, according to The Blast. The two have been fighting over custody of the child and now share joining custody and Tila has been ordered by the court to not consume alcohol or controlled substances "while in possession of the child."

Tila's life is a lot different now, she has had a second child whom she dotes upon and has completely stepped away from reality TV. She told The Daily Beast, "I'm becoming more conservative ever since I became a mother. I wouldn't want p*** all over the internet. Law and order, I think that's very important to have. Most people are so used to being all about their 'freedom', so they become these little crybabies. They can't live by laws and rules. Civilization needs to be civilized."
She now spouts extreme Christian value propaganda and flat Earth content on her Instagram and YouTube channel. Tila now goes by the name "Tornado Thien" and appears much different today. She is a major advocate for the Alt-Right and posts a lot of footage of her defaming stars like Beyoncé, Cardi-B, Kim Kardashian, and Paris Hilton for being "demons" with no souls. Her battle with drug addiction and mental health is alarming to many of her former fans.
Hopefully, her situation improves and Tila receives the help she needs.
