Travis Scott can't shake the past, and in his new attempt to move on, gets busted for a lie! Scott, who is in the middle of a multi-million dollar legal battle for the repercussions of the horror show that unfolded at Astroworld, is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Originally listed on the bill for Coachella 2023, Scott was set to headline the iconic music festival, however, following the deaths that took place in November at Astroworld, Coachella decided to axe the rapper from the bill.

Petition raised to bring Travis Scott back a fraud

Travis Scott's place for Coachella 2023 was replaced with none other than Harry Styles, but that apparently didn't sit right with fans, and a petition was raised on change.org to get Scott back in the top spot!

The official description of the petition read that they wanted to bring Scott back because it wasn't fair to cancel the rapper.

"After Coachella unfairly removed Travis Scott for Harry Styles, they need to do the right thing and rebook him immediately," the statement read.

It was originally reported that the goal of 75,000 signatures was almost completely reached, sitting at just under 70,000, according to Billboard.

However, if it's too good to be true, it usually is. Later in the same day, the same petition dropped to just 5,000. A representative for change.org claimed they had to remove 60,000 signatures due to them being fake.

The rep explained to Buzzfeed who was first to report, "Our team identified patterns of fraudulent activity and removed the corresponding signatures that were seen on this petition."

Now, the petition has been removed altogether. What's the most ironic of the whole situation was the fact that Scott was removed from Coachella due to a petition on the same website.

That petition's statement read he needed to be removed due to his "own gross negligence and sheer lack of compassion for human life."
