Vanessa posted a black-and-white clip where Kobe talks about love, and the challenges that arise in life while pursuing the "beautiful journey" of happiness. "It has its ups and downs, whether it's in marriage, whether it's in career," the former NBA star is seen saying in the video. "Things are never perfect. But through love you continue to persevere and you move through."
"Through that storm, a beautiful sun emerges. Inevitably, another storm comes. Guess what? You ride that one out too," he continues on. "So I think love is a certain determination and persistence to go through the good times and the bad times with someone or something that you truly love."

Vanessa Bryant also wrote a touching message alongside the clip, showing that Kobe is still very much on her mind! "I LOVE YOU @kobebryant," she said in her caption, including a heart emoji. "Miss you and Gigi so much."
Vanessa often uses her Instagram as a way to honour the life and legacy of both Kobe and Gianna, after her husband and daughter died in a tragic helicopter accident last January. Back in March, she shared a bittersweet video of Kobe talking about coaching Gianna, and in June, she revealed that she had gotten tattoos in memory of them!
