Mark Harmon, 70, was quite the looker back in the day. The actor was even named "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine in 1986. At the time, the actor was already known from several film and TV projects.

In 1986, Harmon earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as serial killer "Ted Bundy" in The Deliberate Stranger. He was starring on St. Elsewhere and had also acted alongside Hollywood stars such as Sean Connery, Meg Ryan, and Jodie Foster.

Mark Harmon: How does he feel about Sexiest Man Alive title?

A year after being crowned "Sexiest Man Alive," Harmon married the actress Pam Dawber. The couple remains together today and has two sons — Sean Thomas Harmon, 33, and Ty Christian Harmon, 29.

In early 2019, Harmon revealed his feelings about the "Sexiest Man Alive" title. He told People that he's OK with it but doesn't let it get to his head.

"Oh, it isn't that I hate it, really," he explained. "It's just that I'm not about to take it seriously. And let's just say I think maybe a few too many people have." Rather, it's more important for the NCIS legend to earn his success with hard work.

Mark Harmon has now left NCIS in season 19

Mark Harmon has worked hard for his acting career. In 2012, he was rewarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From 2003 to 2021 he was seen as "Gibbs" in the popular crime series NCIS.

NCIS season 19 is currently airing and Harmon finally left the series after 18 years. But the actor's popularity lives on, and fans are excited to see what he'll do next. And even if Harmon used to impress with dark hair, he looks just as good today with a grey mane.
