Well, if Kanye West's presidential platform wasn't to your liking...

The Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne, is here with another pre-election season announcement.

On Tuesday, Osbourne took to Twitter to make the announcement that, "It's time for a new candidate..." He then went on to preview his new merchandise line, which is titled "Ozzy for President." The message was accompanied by a video with some "campaign slogans."

Among them is, "It could be worse.. I could be Sting," an apparent jab at the Police frontman. Another is a line lifted from his classic solo track, "Crazy Train" — "Maybe it's not too late to learn how to love and forget how to hate," which, surprisingly, functions as a not entirely terrible slogan.

The former Black Sabbath vocalist's lighthearted merchandise line comes days after rapper Kanye West similarly made an unexpected announcement that he was running for President in 2020, despite having no background in politics.

Although there was suspicion that West's presidential bid was a publicity stunt, he today confirmed that he's serious about it and outlined his platform in an interview with Forbes.

Osbourne, on the other hand, is clearly owning up to the publicity and marketing angle of the announcement, perhaps poking fun at West's decision in the process.

If fans of the rocker and reality TV star are hoping for a serious run at the presidency, they're out of luck. The British musician doesn't quite meet the criteria, seeing as he wasn't born on American soil.

Ozzy Osbourne is battling health issues

The 71-year-old musician has also been battling a series of medical issues over the past few years, which included the reveal earlier this year that he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

According to the NME, Osbourne said last month that he's "slowly getting better" after multiple health-related setbacks.
