Prince Harry was big on details during his Late Late Show interview with James Corden. The Duke of Sussex got candid and even shared many new things about his and Meghan's 1-year-old son, Archie, who has been growing up out of the public eye in California. In the interview, Prince Harry spoke proudly to Corden about fatherhood and family life in the U.S. Here are five things we learned about 1-year-old Archie, who has been growing up in California.
1) Archie has personality
Asked to speak on fatherhood, Prince Harry happily gave an update on what life is like with Archie. He said: "My son is now just over a-year-and-a-half. He is hysterical. He's got the most amazing personality."
2) Archie talks — and his first word
The Archie update continued, as Harry said: "He's already putting three, four words together. He's already singing songs." And his first word? "Crocodile. Three syllables," he revealed.
3) Archie's Christmas gift from The Queen
For Archie's latest Christmas gift, Harry explained: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent us a waffle maker for Archie." Harry said Archie "loves" the present and "wakes up in the morning and he goes, 'Waffle?' Done."
4) Archie's nightly routine
In the Sussex home, Harry said a "regular night in" consists of: "[Meghan and I] do Archie's tea, give him a bath, read him a book, put him down," before they spend the evening together with dinner and television.
5) Archie Zooms with The Queen and Prince Philip
Harry also confirmed that the Queen, 94, and Prince Philip, 99, do know how to use Zoom, specifying that they've seen Archie, their great-grandson, "running around" on the calls.
All the new Archie details were just part of Prince Harry's 17-minute appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, which included a double-decker bus tour of Los Angeles, rapping, and the pair running an obstacle course.
