Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla will be in Scotland as they celebrate the beginning of 2022! As the Daily Mail reports, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were spotted in Aberdeen on Wednesday, arriving at the airport via private jet.

Charles and Camilla thought to stay at Birkhall

Charles and Camilla are said to have flown to Scotland on a private jet from RAF Northolt. The two royals recently spent Christmas with members of the royal family at Windsor Castle, but now it looks as though they are returning to their Scottish estate for a quiet Hogmanay celebration!

Wearing a suit and tie in tweed, Charles was photographed driving away from the airport. Camilla was seen next to him in a warm winter coat, and they were accompanied by an aide. While their plans have not been confirmed, the Daily Mail mentions it is likely that Charles and Camilla will be at Birkhall for New Year's.

Charles and Camilla are known to spend the new year at Balmoral, but last year the pandemic forced them to skip the tradition. Still, they aren't the only royals who love travelling to Scotland! Earlier this year, Prince William and Duchess Kate had a weeklong royal tour there, and William later returned on a separate visit with grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
