It has just been reported that The Crown Prince of Denmark has come into close contact with a COVID-19 positive person.

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark In Isolation

The Denmark royal family was set to be en route to the Tokyo Olympics until the monarch himself came into contact with a COVID-19 positive person. According to Hello!, the Danish royal courts released a statement saying, "Due to stricter entry requirements at the Olympic Games, this means that the crown prince does not have the opportunity to travel to Japan."

The people of Denmark are hopeful that the Crown Prince has not caught the virus as he has been vaccinated. He is now safely isolating at home according to his home country's guidelines. Crown Princess Mary and their four children do not need to quarantine like Frederik.

His eldest child, the future King of Denmark Prince Christian has been participating in more and more royal duties, charming many with his kindness, bubbly nature, and grand smile so perhaps the royal family will send Prince Christian to Tokyo in his father's place to represent the family.

Crown Prince Frederik was set to fly to Japan yesterday to join the 138th International Olympic Committee (IOC) General Assembly but instead will be joining virtually. He was also set to be a part of Friday's opening ceremony.
