This week, Prince Charles had an engagement in Wales where he visited a popular Catholic pilgrimage site in Flintshire.

The appointment brought the Prince of Wales to a source of water that is said to have healing powers. The 72-year-old wanted to see for himself, producing a moment where he was pictured on the verge of entering the well.

Joined by Bishop Peter Brignall and Father Justin Karakadu, Prince Charles knelt down and dipped his hand in the water. Fortunately, the royal did not tip over into the pool, and he was able to keep the appointment with dry clothes.

Prince Charles is now on a week-long visit to Wales, after he left England ahead of the Princess Diana statue unveiling of last week.
