Duchess Kate has acknowledged the military's incredible recent efforts with an in-person visit! On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge took a trip to an air force base in Carterton, where she had the opportunity to talk to service personnel and others involved in the Afghanistan evacuation.

Duchess Kate "very personable" during visit, says serviceman

Duchess Kate looked fashionable during her visit to RAF Brize Norton! As Hello! shares, the stylish royal stepped out in one of her favourite pairs of navy trousers and a cream-coloured top, while debuting a new beige blazer designed by Reiss. She also accessorized with a taupe purse from the brand Tusting, in a style known as the "Mini Holly".

Kate heard members of the British air force talk about the incredible evacuation known as Operation Pitting, which allowed many people living in Afghanistan to return home. Wing Commander Kevin Latchman called Kate's visit to the base "fantastic," telling People that the royal was "very personable and clearly very interested in what we did."

Duchess Kate's children said to have an interest in aviation

Duchess Kate's visit to RAF Brize Norton also revealed a fun tidbit about Prince George, Prince Charlotte, and Prince Louis's current passion! As Loadmaster Sergeant Mark Curtis recalled, Kate shared that her kids "are very interested in aircraft." Back in the summer, Kate mentioned their interest in chicken farming as well.

The Duchess of Cambridge's trip to the air force base marks her return to royal duties. Earlier this month, it was reported that Kate chose to spend part of her summer holiday visiting the queen at Balmoral with Prince William and their children.
