As Entertainment Tonight shares, while Harry and Meghan haven't yet discussed the interview themselves, several insiders shed some light on the couple's feelings regarding their recent tell-all special.

Harry and Meghan consider the interview "cathartic"

Harry and Meghan's 2-hour conversation with Winfrey aired on Sunday, shocking the world with some major bombshellsOprah with Meghan and Harry saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reveal the gender of their second child, and also open up about the difficult situations they experienced while living as members of the royal family.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a friend of Harry and Meghan's shared that the couple "felt positive about the interview," which came shortly after they made the decision to step back from the royal family. The friend also said Harry and Meghan see the discussion as being a "cathartic" experience that "will allow them to move forward."

Harry and Meghan's remarks reflect royal family tension

Harry and Meghan's interview saw Meghan clarify the details of an alleged incident with Duchess Kate, as she told Winfrey that Kate been the one to leave her in tears. "The point of raising who made who cry was not to disparage the Duchess of Cambridge," the friend said, saying that the comment intended to "highlight how differently they were treated."

A second source affirmed that Harry and Meghan's comments during the tell-all special are reflective of "the raw, true picture of the state of the relationship between the couple and the royal family" as it currently stands. "They still have a lot of warmth for their family, especially the Queen," the insider told Entertainment Tonight, "but there is work to be done."
