Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are continuing to find organizations to support through their new nonprofit! As Hello! reports, Olivia Crellin opened up about the impact of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex helping to fund her charity initiative, PressPad.

Harry and Meghan are rolling Archewell projects out

Harry and Meghan created Archewell Foundation last year with the intention of helping provide financial aid to charities in need. Last month, it was announced that Archewell launched a new initiative in partnership with World Central Kitchen, helping to construct emergency shelters and provide culinary training in areas that have a high risk of natural disaster.

Crellin told Hello! that the experience has "been so surreal," and that she's "in total disbelief, just thrilled" by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanting to fund her charity. She mentioned how PressPad is "trying to survive in the pandemic and keep supporting young under-represented people in media," saying that she "just didn't believe it" when she saw Harry and Meghan had reached out!

Harry and Meghan want to make news more compassionate

Harry and Meghan's donation to PressPad is significant for the organization, which is dedicated to diversifying journalism in the United Kingdom. "It's been a really lovely moment. We're really grateful," Crellin said of the couple's involvement with her organization. "The message they're sending is so powerful and they're helping us get to our vision faster."

As Hello! mentions, PressPad began in 2018 and launched its charity initiative just last month, which Crellin believes Harry and Meghan decided to support because of its core values! "One of the areas the Sussexes were looking to support through Archewell was media diversity," she explained, "and delivering news in a more compassionate way."

Harry and Meghan have had quite a contentious relationship with the British media. Last year, Harry received an apology from a newspaper after they ran inaccurate articles about his standing with the military. And in February, it was declared that Meghan had won her privacy case against The Mail on Sunday, with the publication required to print a statement apologizing to her on multiple pages!
