Tuesday January 7th, 2020 marks the first royal engagement for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan of 2020! The royal couple will be visiting the Canada House in London today, which pays tribute to the country that hosted their Christmas getaway. The Sussex' will be meeting with Janice Charette who is the High Commissioner in Canada to the United Kingdom, as well as other staff members.

Meghan and Harry want to thank Canada House for their great hospitality

The couple wants "to thank them for the warm Canadian hospitality and support they received during their recent stay in Canada," according to People magazine. Meghan and Harry will also be visiting the Canada Gallery which is host to a special exhibition by Indigenous Canadian artist Skawennati. The pair previously visited Canada House back in March 2019 when the Duchess was still pregnant with Archie.

Meghan helped take a picture for a local couple in BC! 

Canada holds a special place in the Duchess' heart as she called Toronto home for a year while she was filming the show Suits. The palace confirmed the family of three was spending the holidays in Canada and on New Year's Day, Meghan and Harry even helped a local couple take a picture while out for a hike. The couple also posted an adorable shot taken by Meghan herself of Harry and Archie in honour of ringing in the new year!
