The Royal Albert Hall hosted some of the biggest names in Hollywood yesterday evening, including Bradley Cooper, Margot Robbie, Olivia Colman and Rami Malek, who had all flocked to the London venue for the annual BAFTA awards, the biggest night on the British film calendar, on Sunday. Prince William (36) and Duchess Catherine (37) added some special celebrity to the guest list, outshining Hollywood royalty on the red carpet for the third year running.

Kate looked spectacular in a white sweeping asymmetrical Alexander McQueen dress and carrying a white clutch, finishing the gorgeous ensemble off with a diamond bracelet and a pair of pearl and silver earrings that had previously belonged to Princesss Diana. The McQueen dress is not stranger to Kate's closet, she wore its hot pink counterpart to Prince Charles' 70th birthday bash last November. Prince William looked every inch the dashing prince in a black tuxedo and white pocket square.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were guests of honour at the BAFTA Awards 2019

The Cambridges were the night's guests of honour and the audience respectfully stood as they made their way down the steps to take their seats after making their grand entrance on the red carpet at just before seven in the evening.

The event was not William and Kate's first BAFTAs, they royal couple have attended the awards twice already and Kate made a statement last year when she walked the red carpet pregnant in a dark green dress tied at the waist with a black sash, in support o the Time's Up movement.

She wrote him a letter after the wedding
