Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are getting ready for their first Christmas together since relocating to California, and now we know how they'll be spending it! That's because as Entertainment Tonight reports, an inside source has revealed Meghan and Harry's plans for the holiday— which are much more casual than usual!

Meghan and Harry to spend Christmas with family

Meghan and Harry won't be participating in any kind of lavish event this year, instead opting to enjoy a laid-back holiday at home with their son. Meghan's mom is also said to be visiting for the occasion, marking the family's second Christmas together! "The couple will be spending Christmas at home in California quietly with Archie and Doria [Ragland] joining them," the source told Entertainment Tonight

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly providing the menu for the day's festivities as well! "Meghan, who is an accomplished cook, will be preparing some of their favorite dishes with Harry and Doria pitching in," the insider shared. Earlier this year, Meghan and Harry helped out in the kitchen at Los Angeles gang rehab facility Homeboy Industries, where the couple impressed the staff with their willingness to roll up their sleeves.

Meghan and Harry have "no imminent plans" to leave the U.S.

Meghan and Harry won't be returning to the United Kingdom until 2021, as they observe the current health and safety guidelines that have been put in place. As Entertainment Tonight mentions, royals are "disappointed" that they can't see Archie this month, including Queen Elizabeth II! Reportedly, the queen recently shared she's "sad" she won't be seeing Harry and Meghan for the holidays now that circumstances have changed.

"While there had been plans to return to the U.K. for Meghan's case against Associated Newspapers and the Mail on Sunday in January," the source explained, "given the postponement until next fall, there are no imminent plans to return to the U.K. given the travel restrictions related to the pandemic."

Even though Christmas will be a laid-back affair, Meghan and Harry have certainly kept busy since their move to Santa Barbara! On Monday, it was announced that Meghan had personally invested in a local female entrepreneur's company. She and Harry have also made a couple big production deals, set to produce podcasts for Spotify and original streaming content for Netflix!
