Charles Philip Arthur George was born on November 14, 1948. In his life, he has always been either 2nd or 1st in line to the British throne. In fact, Prince Charles is both the oldest and the longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

Charles has also been Prince of Wales for the longest. He has a new title as of late. When his father, Prince Philip, died, Charles is now the Duke of Edinburgh. He is expected to pass that title onto his brother Prince Edward but this may not happen after all.
