Prince George has now come along on a traditional royal outing! As People shares, George recently accompanied his parents Prince William and Duchess Kate to Scotland as they took part in the annual grouse shoot.

George joined family at queen's estate over summer holiday

George joined William and Kate at Queen Elizabeth II's Balmoral Castle estate for the event, along with several other members of the royal family! Princess Anne and her husband Tim Laurence, Prince Edward and his son Viscount Severn, and Peter Phillips were also in attendance.

Instead of partaking in the event, George watched the grouse shoot from the grouse moor at Corgarff. Roughly 10 miles from the castle itself, the 7-year-old was able to watch the royals hunt for sport at a safe distance without being in harm's way! As People mentions, Duchess Kate has been introducing her son to the sporting life, having supposedly taken him on a grouse-hunting trip while they visited Balmoral Castle back in 2018.

William and Kate are social distancing from the queen

William and Kate were seen reuniting with Queen Elizabeth II earlier this week as they visited her at Balmoral, seeing her in person for the first time in months. The queen and Prince Philip decided to move to the castle in August for the summer in the midst of lockdown, and have only recently been allowing visitors. Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, also paid her a visit! As People mentions, the royals are still required to practice social distancing protocol, reportedly staying on a different property from that of the queen.

Scotland isn't the only place George has visited with his parents over lockdown, since William and Kate took their kids on a summer holiday last month! While they had to remain in the United Kingdom, the Cambridge family enjoyed time at the Isles of Scilly. And while George has been spending much of his time these past few months at home with his family, he and his sister Charlotte will be returning to school soon
