Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have emerged victorious in a court case concerning their family's privacy! As Entertainment Tonight shares, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were named the winners of a legal battle against British paparazzi agency Splash U.K., who have been forced to respect the royals' wishes.

Harry and Meghan's family no longer photographed by agency

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle filed a lawsuit against the agency earlier this year, after they had taken unauthorized pictures of their son Archie while in Canada. While the photos themselves were taken in January, Entertainment Tonight mentions that Meghan proceeded to take legal action against Splash U.K. in March.

In a statement read out in court during the hearing, it was stated that "Splash U.K. will not take any photographs of the Duke and Duchess or their son in the future." While the British paparazzi agency has conceded, the couple is also currently pursuing a lawsuit against its American offshoot, Splash U.S.

Harry and Meghan have sent "clear signal" to agency

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's victory in the case means that their family will now be protected from the paparazzi agency. And as Entertainment Tonight shares, in a statement made on the couple's behalf by a spokesperson for their law firm, Shillings, their dedication to privacy was reinforced.

"As explained in today's hearing, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have successfully settled a legal claim brought at the beginning of this year against the paparazzi agency Splash U.K.," the statement read. "This settlement is a clear signal that unlawful, invasive, and intrusive paparazzi behavior will not be tolerated, and that the couple takes these matters seriously - just as any family would."

Harry and Meghan also filed another lawsuit against paparazzi in the summer, after photos of Archie were taken from their backyard by drones that flew over their property! Now that Harry and Meghan have relocated to Santa Barbara though— which is where they're planning to spend Christmas— they've been able to enjoy much more privacy!
