Prince Harry is celebrating a quintessential American holiday today with his family.

It's Thanksgiving in the US, and it's the Sussex family's first since they welcomed their daughter Lili. So, how are they spending the day? You may have missed it, but Duchess Meghan opened up about their plans during her recent appearance on Ellen.

Prince Harry and Meghan's plans for Thanksgiving 2021

Thanksgiving was just around the corner when Meghan chatted with Ellen DeGeneres last week.

She told the host: "I love to cook. We'll be at home and just relax and sort of settle in. It's our second Thanksgiving at home in California, so it will be nice."

Harry, Meghan and their kids have been living in Montecito, California, since mid-2020. DeGeneres is a neighbour in the wealthy community, and she jokingly replied to Meghan's Thanksgiving comments: "What time should we show up?"

So, it'll be a casual Thanksgiving in the Sussex home with Meghan cooking — and possibly an appearance by Ellen. The Duchess's mother Doria Ragland also lives nearby, so it wouldn't come as a surprise if she attends the family gathering.

On The Ellen Show, Meghan also chatted about her family celebrating Halloween last month. She revealed that Archie dressed up as a dinosaur while Lili was a skunk.

Harry and Meghan have yet to share a photo of their 5-month-old daughter, but fans are also hoping the annual Sussex Christmas card could introduce Lili to the world in just a few weeks.
