Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are over the moon about their newborn daughter Lili.

The Duke and Duchess welcomed their baby girl, fully named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on Friday this week. They announced the news on Sunday and have now shared a message after their initial statement.

Harry and Meghan's message after welcoming baby girl

On their Archewell website, Harry and Meghan penned a message of thanks to well-wishers. And it also came with a reflection on their first few days with their daughter.

"On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili," wrote the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe," added the proud parents.

"Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family," they concluded.

The page adds that Harry and Meghan will now be on "parental leave," but their foundation will continue with its important work.

As the couple has done on recent special occasions, they also focused on charities with their announcement. Rather than accepting congratulatory gifts, they point well-wishers to a list of organizations supporting women and girls.
