Prince Harry wants to make a difference in his new position with a mental health firm.

Today, The Wall Street Journal broke the news that the Duke of Sussex has joined BetterUp Inc., a Silicon Valley startup focused on coaching and mental health services. With the firm, his title is Chief Impact Officer. Here's what Harry had to say about the role.

Prince Harry wants to "create impact" with new job

On his new position, Prince Harry told WSJ: "I intend to help create impact in people's lives. Proactive coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness, and an all-round better life."

And it turns out Harry actually has first-hand experience working with BetterUp's services. He added, "I was matched with my coach who, quite frankly, is truly awesome and has always given me sound advice and a fresh perspective, which is so valuable."

Prince Harry adds BetterUp to post-royal work

BetterUp now lists Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, as its Chief Impact Officer online, where a sharp new black-and-white portrait of Harry was also released.

The Duke's new executive role with BetterUp comes after he and Duchess Meghan have secured post-royal work as producers with Netflix, podcasters with Spotify, and public speakers with a professional firm.

Prince Harry has also been open about his struggles with mental health and has long been an advocate for mental health charities and initiatives, so the BetterUp position is one close to his heart. The new job follows last week's news that Harry also wrote a heartfelt foreword to a book for children grieving the loss of a parent.
