Prince Harry "upset" at Queen's decision: Report

This week, Daily Mail reported that Queen Elizabeth II decided Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan must "relinquish" connections to organizations "passed down through the Royal Family." For Prince Harry, he would have to surrender three honorary military titles while several royal patronages are also at risk — though, private ones including the Invictus Games Foundation and Sentebale are excluded.

The source who spoke to The Times said the seriousness of matters is "finally dawning on" the Duke after news of the Queen's decision. "I am sure it is really painful for him," the source added. "He is very upset to be in this spot."

Prince Harry could face ban on wearing military uniform

Now, the latest detail to develop is that Prince Harry could also face a ban from wearing his military uniform when he surrenders his honorary military titles, which had permitted him to wear them at engagements. Retired Armed Forces personnel can wear medals but not typically their uniforms, so, according to Daily Mail, this matter could require Harry to consult Buckingham Palace to get permission.

For Prince Harry's wife, Duchess Meghan, the National Theatre patronage is the main connection likely to fall under the Queen's decision, as Smart Works and Mayhew Animal Welfare are private patronages.

Reports say Buckingham Palace is expected to make an announcement on Harry and Meghan's remaining royal connections in early March. In recent days, the couple also revealed their expecting a second child and will soon air a tell-all TV interview with Oprah Winfrey.
