Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's forthcoming biography will reveal the Duke's discontentment and early plans for his royal exit, a new report suggests.

The Sussexes' biography is titled Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family. The heavily pre-ordered book is scheduled for an online release on Aug. 11.

Prince Harry reportedly led plans for royal exit

Two months to the day of the book release, an inside source has shared with The Sun some details that are to come out in Finding Freedom. Specifically, it will clarify that Harry initiated the royal exit, and that he did so from a place of unhappiness.

"The seeds of Megxit were sown before they even got married. The truth is that Harry had been deeply unhappy for a long time," the source told The Sun.

"And he and Meghan openly discussed going in a different direction well before they got married," the source continued. Finding Freedom, they added, will "make clear" that the exit and move to North America was "far from a snap decision."

Previous reports support this assertion as well, seeing as the Queen was open to the Sussexes abandoning their royal titles prior to the wedding.

Finding Freedom says Harry detests the term Megxit

In an earlier preview of the book, which is written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, it was revealed that it was Harry who propositioned Meghan to leave the Royal Family — not the other way around, which was widely reported and even referenced in the name "Megxit."

"That word 'Megxit' in particular has always angered Prince Harry. It gives the impression that the decision to walk away from the Royal Family was Meghan's," a source had told The Sun in May.

"The reality is Harry drove that decision. The book will make that clear and explain why it had to happen. The truth is Harry had been unhappy for a long, long time. He wanted to move in the direction that they did and had been considering it for more than a year."

Look for this type of revelation and many more in Finding Freedom when it comes out on Aug. 11, 2020. The book promises to go "beyond the headlines to reveal unknown details of Harry and Meghan's life together, dispelling the many rumors and misconceptions that plague the couple on both sides of the pond," according to publisher HarperCollins.

Harry and Meghan are currently living with their son Archie at Tyler Perry's mansion in Los Angeles. Another report earlier this week restated that they are "doing well" and that their relationship is "stronger than ever" now two months removed from their lives in the U.K. as working royals.
