The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked things off at the London Bridge Jobcentre, where they spoke with jobseekers and employers. They listened to accounts of a difficult job landscape, as both parties attempt to manage work amid the pandemic.

The next stop was the East London Mosque, where the royals met with volunteers who continued to support worshippers during the pandemic.

Finally, Prince William and Duchess Kate attended the Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery, where they donned aprons, got hands-on in the kitchen, and heard of the business's efforts at adapting to the pandemic and supporting local communities.

Upon their departure from the bakery, the Duke and Duchess waved to royal fans who had gathered to greet them outside.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have returned home to London

The royal family-of-five returned home to Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace sometime ahead of Prince George and Princess Charlotte's new school year, which began on Sept. 7. The Cambridges had been living at Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, since late March, limiting their public outings to Norfolk businesses and several trips—to locations such as Berry Island and a solo trip for the Duke to Northern Ireland last week.
