"That generational gap has to be bridged somehow," he explains in the video, which also features Duchess Kate. "I feel it is my duty and our collective responsibility to leave our planet in a stronger position for our children."

According to the description of the 6-minute-long clip, which was released by the documentary's original broadcaster ITV, Prince William: A Planet For Us All is a powerful documentary that chronicles William's "extraordinary journey to champion global action on conservation and climate change, poaching and more."

Prince William's doc "is about family," says producer

Prince William also opens up about fatherhood and conservation in the documentary— two subjects that are quite close to his heart! "What was really amazing was what a personal project this has been for him and how he has discovered over that time a real mission," the project's executive producer, Nick Kent, shared. "At its heart, this is about family."

As ET Canada mentions, William engaged in conversation with David Attenborough and young environmental activists for the special feature. "He’s incredibly relaxed and at ease with children and I saw him get more relaxed and at ease as we went on," Kent said. "He really engages – maybe fatherhood has had that impact on him. He probably gets that from his mother – we all saw how she was didn’t we?"

The documentary even sees William address how his own kids— Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis— have inspired his environmental missionPrince William: A Planet For Us All is now available to be streamed through discovery+, and you can take a look at the clip here!
