The British Royal Family is beaming about the arrival of a new royal baby.

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi became parents of a little daughter on Saturday evening. They haven't announced the name just yet, a tradition that is not uncommon for the first few days—and sometimes weeks—with the royals.

Princess Beatrice's baby girl: What will the name be?

Many now assume that Beatrice, like her sister and many of her cousins, will choose a name that honours a family member. Above all, the name of her mother, Sarah Ferguson, is at the top of the list — as is the name of Edoardo's mother, Nicola.

In addition, the name Victoria is a very popular prediction. Beatrice herself is said to be very interested in the story of her great-great-great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.

Other royals have recently honoured the Queen and Princess Diana (Harry and Meghan's daughter Lilibet) and Prince Albert and Prince Philip (Eugenie and Jack's son August), so we'll see what route Beatrice takes.

A few days have now passed, and it shouldn't be long before the big announcement. We can't wait to find out the name of the baby, who was born 11th in line to the British throne.
