A hand-written letter dated Dec. 5, 1990 where Princess Diana addressed Prince Harry and Prince William's excitement for Christmas has just auctioned off, as reported by Harper's Bazaar. "The boys are thrilled at the prospect of Christmas on the horizon," Diana wrote in the heartwarming message when William and Harry were eight and six years old, respectively.

Princess Diana's handwritten letter was addressed to her friend Ivy

The letter, addressed to Ivy Woodward, a friend Princess Diana made at the hospital while Prince Charles was being treated for a broken arm, was auctioned for nearly $4000 by Lawrence Auctioneers of Bletchingley, Surrey. In the message, the late Princess also gave a piece of advice for her friend, who seemed to be having problems with her son's wife.
