Prince Harry is currently visiting the UK for the second time in 2021.

But, on both trips, the Duke has travelled without his wife Duchess Meghan or his children. That could change, however, on a special occasion that Queen Elizabeth II reportedly wants the Sussexes to attend next year.

Queen Elizabeth wants Meghan, Harry at her Platinum Jubilee

In 2022, Queen Elizabeth will mark her 70th year on the throne. The royals will celebrate the historic milestone next June at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee — and the monarch has apparently already sent invites for the celebration.

This weekend, Daily Mail reported word from a source with knowledge of the event, who revealed: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited and I'm sure the Queen is very much looking forward to seeing them there."

The June 2022 ceremony would likely be Meghan's next visit to the UK, her first since leaving in late 2019. There does already seem to be some drama surrounding the invite to the Platinum Jubilee, too.

The new report says it's unclear if, at the event, Harry and Meghan would join the Royal Family in the traditional appearance on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

The source told Daily Mail that "there's a limit to how many family members should be on" the balcony, and the Sussexes could get squeezed out as they aren't working royals. But the arrangement "will be decided much nearer the time," the insider said.

Prince Harry and Meghan on good terms with the Queen?

Despite the unending drama between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, the couple has appeared to remain on good terms with the Queen. The couple even named their daughter Lilibet after the monarch earlier this month.

Meghan And Harry's Baby Girl Has Arrived

The baby girl is also the reason Meghan wasn't able to join her husband on his current trip to the UK. She gave birth just three weeks ago, and Prince Harry is now staying in Windsor ahead of the July 1 unveiling of a statue honouring Princess Diana.

While in the UK, Prince Harry is also expected to have a private lunch with the Queen. However, he's currently self-isolating for a second day and will do so for another three after flying in from the US on Friday.
