The Queen's daughter-in-law Sophie, Countess of Wessex gave an interview to The Sunday Times recently and revealed that her children will most likely not use their formal royal titles in the future. Sophie also indicated that Lady Louise (16) and James, Viscount Severn (12), will probably have normal jobs as well.

Sophie Wessex: "They are very likely to have to work for a living"

While talking to The Sunday Times, Prince Edward's wife said: "We try to bring them up with the understanding that they are very likely to have to work for a living", meaning that will not be working in an official capacity for the royal family, unlike their parents.

Sophie Wessex, who also addressed Harry and Meghan's royal exit in the interview, added that they "made the decision not to use HRH titles" for the children at the time of their birth. "They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but it’s highly unlikely."
