Duchess Kate sent a kind message to baby Lili while at an engagement today.

The Duchess of Cambridge and US First Lady Jill Biden visited a school in Cornwall, and the pair answered a few questions after the outing. Reporters even asked Kate about Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's newborn girl, Lilibet Diana. This was her response.

When asked about Lili, Duchess Kate said: "I wish her all the very best. I can't wait to meet her because we haven't yet met her yet, so hopefully that will be soon."

A Daily Mail reporter also asked if Kate has video chatted with Harry, Meghan and their daughter, but the Duchess replied: "No, I haven't."

Royal Family reacts to Harry and Meghan's daughter

Duchess Kate is the latest royal to comment on the Royal Family's newest member, after Prince Charles called his granddaughter's birth "such happy news" this week.

But, unfortunately, the baby's birth has led to some drama. There have been conflicting reports about if the Queen personally approved of Harry and Meghan's choice to name their daughter after her.

The Duke and Duchess even threatened legal action against the BBC after the broadcaster claimed the Queen was not asked before the couple named their newborn after her family nickname.

Let's hope the newborn's baby name doesn't lead to a battle in court! You can also see the Royal Family's initial reactions to Lili's birth here.
