Princess Diana is on everyone's mind this week.
Thursday, July 1, will mark what would've been Diana's 60th birthday. To pay tribute, her sons Prince William and Prince Harry will unveil a statue of their late mother at Kensington Palace in a small event with close family. Where will Prince Charles be?

Last week, the Palace confirmed the guest list for the statue unveiling. The small number of attendees did not include Prince Charles, the late Princess's ex-husband.
Going back a few weeks, it had been reported that Prince Charles intends to be in Scotland on July 1 rather than at the ceremony in London. And it appears his complicated past with Diana influenced the decision.
Over the weekend, a source told The Sunday Times that Prince Charles finds such events "terribly difficult" and prefers to stay out of the public eye.
The source added, "Moments have the potential to resurface old wounds, and it brings back memories for him; happy, sad, regretful."
Another insider previously told The Sun that Prince Charles will be in Scotland and "leave the boys to it" when Prince Harry visits ahead of the ceremony for Princess Diana.

In the meantime, it's remained unclear if, on July 1, Prince Charles will visit Scotland to connect with the Queen for Royal Week or perhaps stay at Balmoral.
So far, only Prince William and Princess Anne have been confirmed as Royal Week guests. Likewise, the official website of the Prince of Wales lists no engagements for this week.
The statue unveiling will go ahead on Thursday with a guest list of Prince William, Prince Harry, close family of Diana, members of the statue committee, and the artists behind the project.
Harry has been in the UK since Friday last week and is self-isolating at Frogmore Cottage, the royal residence of Princess Eugenie.
