How The Royals Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Today's St. Patrick's Day! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge usually attend the annual parade at the Calvary Barracks in Hounslow, however, the event did not take place this year since the majority of the Regiment are on deployment overseas.

William and Kate might have missed the parade this year, but they shared a very special post on Instagram to mark the occasion! They paid tribute to the Irish Guards by posting a series of pictures of them in their deployments in South Sudan.

The Royal family sends St. Patrick's Day wishes on social media

Queen Elizabeth and other members of the royal family also shared St. Patrick's Day wishes to their followers on social media. Her Majesty, who is Colonel in Chief of the regiment, shared a picture where she appears inspecting the Irish Guards at Windsor Castle, back in 2009.

Meanwhile, Clarence House posted a photo of Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla wearing a green coat, which read "Wishing you a very happy #StPatricksDay."
