Sofia being appointed as a new judge comes after the dramatic exit of season 14 judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. The two described a toxic culture and left on bad terms with the show runners.
OG Judge Heidi Klum who is also returning as a Judge spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the controversy: "I feel like people who have been complaining, we should be listening to them," she said. "I have nothing to complain about -- I've only had the best time, and that's my story. Everyone has a different story. My story is a positive one."
