We're now just days away from Behind Her Eyes dropping on Netflix.

The highly-anticipated thriller premieres on Feb. 17, when scores of streamers will be binge watching the British series. Here's what you need to know about Behind Her Eyes.

Behind Her Eyes: Netflix's new British thriller series in 2021

Behind Her Eyes is a psychological thriller that will debut with a six-episode first season. The show follows "Louise," a single mother whose affair with psychiatrist "David" gets stranger when she meets his wife "Adele" and becomes deeply involved in their lives.

Behind Her Eyes cast: Simona Brown as "Louise" in 2021 Netflix series.

Netflix writes, "What starts as an unconventional love triangle soon becomes a dark, psychological tale of suspense and twisted revelations, as 'Louise' finds herself caught in a dangerous web of secrets where nothing and no-one is what they seem."

Behind Her Eyes: Cast, trailer, release date... book ending?

The three lead roles in the show are played by British stars Simona Brown ("Louise"), Tom Bateman ("David"), and Eve Hewson ("Adele"). Brown has appeared on British series including Outlander and Grantchester, while Hewson is known from The Knick and film Bridge of Spies, and Bateman from Da Vinci's Demons and the 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express

The team behind the series is another reason to get excited for Behind Her Eyes. It's co-produced by Left Bank Pictures, best known for bringing royal drama The Crown to Netflix. Meanwhile, the creator is Steve Lightfoot, who has previous writing and producing credits on Hannibal—so he knows how to do a twisted and intimate thriller, in other words.

Behind Her Eyes is based on the 2017 book of the same name by Sarah Pinborough. And fans are already fascinated by the new Netflix adaptation due to the book's reputation for a wild ending — but we'll stop right there. Add all that up and you've got five solid reasons to watch Behind Her Eyes:

  1. Netflix, British, and a thriller
  2. An irresistible nightmare plot
  3. From the producers of The Crown
  4. Created by a producer-writer of Hannibal
  5. Based on a hit book with a famous ending
