NCIS: New Orleans may be over, but you'll soon be seeing its stars on new shows.

CCH Pounder, who played "Dr. Loretta Wade," has moved on to a new series, and she'll be staying on the CBS network. TVLine reported today that the 68-year-old actress is joining the cast of The Good Fight.

CCH Pounder joins The Good Fight after NCIS: New Orleans

Fans of the well-liked actress won't have to wait long to see her on The Good Fight either. She's joining the cast in season 5, which just premiered on Thursday this week.

On the series, Pounder will play "Vinetta, a devout Chicago native who has seen crime increase in her neighborhood and hopes to bring back justice," TVLine announced today. The role will be a multi-episode arc this season, according to the outlet.

The Good Fight is a legal drama starring Christine Baranski that premiered in 2017 on CBS All Access. The CBS streamer is now called Paramount+, where season 5 began this week.

The series is a spin-off and sequel to The Good Wife, the popular CBS series that ran from 2008 to 2016. Pounder, also known from ER and The Shield, now joins the show after seven seasons with NCIS: New Orleans.

The Scott Bakula-led NCIS series was cancelled in the middle of season 7 and aired its finale last month. The new NCIS: Hawaii series will instead premiere this fall on CBS.
