Channing Tatum is set to reprise one of his most iconic characters! On Monday, the actor took to social media to announce his return to the Magic Mike franchise, which is set to wrap up with a brand-new film for HBO Max.

Tatum reveals title of last Magic Mike film

Tatum first played the character of stripper "Mike Lane" in 2012's Magic Mike, which went on to be a huge success. This was then followed up with 2015's Magic Mike XXL, which was again a box office smash. Now, Tatum is officially attached to a third Magic Mike movie!

"Well world, looks like Mike Lane’s tapping back in," the actor captioned his Instagram post announcing the film. He also shared a photo of the front page of the script, revealing some key details about the project! Titled Magic Mike's Last Dance, it is set to be the last film in the series. Franchise director Steven Soderbergh and writer Reid Carolin will both return to finish telling "Mike's" story.

Tatum also shared that HBO Max was involved in the project by tagging the streaming service in his post. At this time, it is unknown if Tatum's Magic Mike castmates will be joining him for the franchise's final outing. However, it certainly wouldn't be surprising to see familiar faces like Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer return!
