It's a sad day for Criminal Minds fans all over the world as the fate of their beloved crime drama is set to come to a final conclusion. CBS has renewed the crime-drama for a fifteenth and final season. The upcoming season will consist of 10 episodes and will be shot on the heels of the fourteenth season. By the time the show is completed, it will have successfully run 325 episodes over the course of its fifteen seasons making it one of the longest-running television dramas.

Criminal Minds "follows an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, attempting to anticipate their next moves before they strike again." The show is produced and run by Erica Messer who has signed a deal with ABC Studios "where she will continue to create original dramas under her Erica Messer Productions banner" after the end of Criminal Minds according to The Hollywood Reporter
