CSI: Crime Scene Investigation could be returning to CBS for a special event series to celebrate its twentieth anniversary! The show ended back in 2015 with a special two-hour finale movie, Immortality.

This potential revival series would be a sequel to CSI's original 15-year run on TV.

What we know about the new CSI series

Reportedly, the original creative team behind CSI is in the early stages of discussions to bring the show back to the CBS network. It would be a limited run for the show, which also previously saw the spinoffs CSI: MiamiCSI: NY, and CSI: Cyber

It is unclear at this time whether or not CSI regulars such as Ted Danson and Marg Helgenberger will return for the limited series, or if the show will pursue a new direction.
