CSI: Vegas is set to premiere in October, and now fans have gotten an official look at the upcoming series! On Sunday, CBS released a trailer that sees the cast of the crime drama revival in action— including a few familiar characters.

CSI: Vegas sees "Gil" and "Sara" return to assist investigators

CSI: Vegas marks the first offering to come from the franchise since CSI: Cyber, which ended its run in 2016. While some new faces will be featured, the series has also brought back two of its original stars. William Petersen and Jorja Fox can once again be seen in their roles as "Gil" and "Sara," and we already know how they will factor into the show!

"When the Crime Lab's legacy and future are called into question," the official synopsis for CSI: Vegas reads, "a brilliant new team of investigators led by Maxine Roby (Paula Newsome) must enlist the help of old friends, Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox)."

The network's summary of the show also mentions that these investigators will "deploy the latest forensic techniques" so that they are able to "preserve and serve justice in Sin City." Petersen was recently hospitalized due to exhaustion while filming the first season of the series, but has since recovered.
