History is repeating itself, in terms of Saturday Night Live that is. Dave Chappelle has been asked yet again to host the first live show following the U.S Presidential election, just like he did in 2016.

Chappelle, who has never shied away from his thoughts on President Donald Trump, was unapologetic in his views, and fans of the NBC original show are eager to hear the opening monologue.

Dave Chappelle will host first SNL following election

Once again, Dave Chappelle will host Saturday Night Live following the historic 2020 Presidential election, just like he did in 2016.

Back in 2016, Chappelle gave a memorable and impassioned speech about Black Lives Matter and Donald Trump's surprising victory over Hillary Clinton.

"America has done it. We’ve actually elected an internet troll as our president," he said at the time.

Season 46 kicked off October of this year, with a socially distant live event hosted by Chris Rock.
