Diego Luna is getting ready to immerse himself in the Star Wars universe once again! Over a year after it was announced that he would be attached to a Rogue One spinoff for Disney+, reprising his character "Cassian Andor", Luna has officially confirmed that the series will begin filming this year!

The exciting information came to light while he was promoting the new season of his series Narcos: Mexico. "Yes, we are doing it, and we're doing it this year," Luna exclusively confirmed to Entertainment Tonight. "It's happening and I'm getting ready for it".

Luna is excited about reprising his Rogue One role, saying how "it's really cool to tell a story where you already know the ending. You know the ending, but you don't know how it happened, and we have that challenge in front of us again, which is exciting."

Diego Luna is set to star as "Cassian Andor" in the show. Alan Tudyk will be joining him in the cast, also reprising his Star Wars role of droid "K-2SO". The as-yet-untitled project, which will eventually stream on Disney+, is said to follow "Cassian's adventures during the formative years of the Rebellion, before the events of Rogue One".
