The Cast of Elf Table Read
Everyone remembers the smash hit film Elf starring Will Ferrell as "Buddy the Elf" who left the North Pole to find his real father in New York City. Now the whole gang is getting back together for a good cause!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel, Bob Newhart, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Asner, and John Lithgow will be performing a live table read of the 2003 hit to support Georgia Democrats during the critical Senate runoff elections. Hilarious Ashley Nicole Balck will be hosting the reading by the original cast who will be joined by Busy Philipps, Matt Walsh, Amy Sedaris, Andy Richter, Kyle Glass, Danny Woodburn, Ed Helms, and director Jon Favreau!
New Girl star Zooey Deschanel Tweeted, "If I were any more excited to be in the #ElfForGeorgia reunion I might explode into a burst of snowflakes." Will Ferrell told The Hollywood Reporter he was "excited to bring Buddy back to the small screen to benefit the crucial Senate runoff elections in Georgia. We need new leadership in the U.S. Senate, and I'm hoping that Buddy and the rest of the Elf cast, can play a small role in delivering that change."
Unfortunately, a sequel did not make it to fruition because of tension between Will Ferrell and Jon Favreau so we are lucky to have this holiday gift! We can't wait to watch the cast bring life back to our favorite holiday film!
